Dangerous goods
As well as the actual transport from A to B, the carriage of dangerous goods also includes receiving and delivery as well as preparation and completion activities.
Special legal provisions and agreements apply for dangerous goods, such as ADR (road traffic), RID (rail traffic), ADN (inland waterway traffic), IMDG Code (sea traffic) and ICAO T.I./IATA DGR (air traffic).
The subject of dangerous goods is regulated by the respective laws and regulations – for example by Gefahrgutbeförderungsgesetz (GGBefG), Gefahrgutverordnung Straße/Eisenbahn/Binnenschifffahrt (GGVSEB) as well as Gefahrgutverordnung See (GGVSee). Exceptions are regulated by the Gefahrgut-Ausnahmeverordnung (GGAV).
The appointment of a dangerous goods safety adviser is nationally regulated by the Gefahrgutbeauftragtenverordnung (GbV).
